Analytical department
The analytical department of the Information and Research Center is equipped with atomic-absorption spectrometers Solaar S2; energy-dispersion X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer QUANT’X, optical emission spectrometer with inductively coupled plasma (ISP-OES) iCAP 6300 DUO; all units by Thermo Scientific, USA. These units are used to analyse all types of samples mentioned above. There are also furnaces for fire assay, located in a separate building.
